John Moore
John Moore first competed in a powerboat race back in 1982 which was held in Poole Bay. He went on to win races in offshore Class 3 and took a UIM World Speed Record on Lake Windermere in 2002. Moore acted as Race Director for the prestigious Cowes Torquay Cowes race for 4 years including the event’s 50th anniversary in 2010- He has used that organising experience to run a number of UKOPRA races up until 2023. In 2016 he founded Powerboat Racing World, a website dedicated to covering circuit and offshore events across the globe. After serving as its editor until 2021 he sold the brand to The Race Factory who are based in Norway. Moore has also commentated for television on many UIM F2 World Championship races from Lithuania, Norway and Portugal and in Hong Kong, Macau and Singapore for the Asia Powerboat Series.
