About UKOPRA

The United Kingdom Offshore Powerboat Racing Association (UKOPRA) was established in 2017 to govern and promote offshore powerboat racing in the UK. It sets the rules for racing, determines class categories, and procures insurance for events, ensuring a safe and competitive environment for all participants.

History

UKOPRA staged its first race in Poole during September 2017, marking the beginning of its role as the governing body for offshore powerboat racing. Since then, it has overseen championships in every season except 2020, which was impacted by health restrictions due to COVID-19.
