2024 Round the Island
The Round the Island race will be the first round of the 2024 UKOPRA Championship and the 4th time that it has highlighted on our racing calendar.
The record speed for the race was set in 2022 by Drew Langdon and Miles Jennings in Silverline, the Mercury powered Outerlimits hull averaged 102.87 mph (165.56 Kmph).
Last year Class 1 had the biggest fleet of boats seen in British Powerboat Championship racing since the 1960s with 9 teams which produced a combined power output of 16,000 hp.
It was a close-fought race, in which only 4 seconds separated Good Boy Vodka (Rob Lockyer and Scott Younger) from Silverline.
